Project Manager

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team who will play a pivotal role managing the implementation of collection management software projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager currently working in the cultural and heritage sector who is interested in furthering their career with a global company offering excellent career progression. Equally, you may be a Project Manager currently working within the IT or software industry wanting a new challenge. Substantial on-the-job training in the use of our software, products and technology will be provided as part of your induction.

Reporting to Head of Project Delivery, the Project Manager will:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple software implementation projects ensuring customer satisfaction and budget commitments are met;
  • Be involved in both smaller implementations and high-profile and challenging projects;
  • Work closely with team members located in various offices across the globe to plan and resource projects;
  • Liaise closely with customers to guide them through the implementation process;
  • Ensure work is delivered to the highest quality and within scope.

To qualify…  You will need to be an effective and organised Project Manager who can demonstrate:

  • At least 2 years previous project management experience;
  • Experience in working with, or a background in archives, libraries, or museums (desirable);
  • A background in natural history or museum collection management (desirable);
  • A capacity to learn about new software and technology;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Efficient organisational skills – you must be able to effectively prioritise your work and respond appropriately to changing situations;
  • Excellent attention to detail – ensuring that all loose ends are tied up;
  • High quality customer service skills;
  • Experience of business analysis and understanding customer requirements and processes (desirable)
  • A willingness to travel to client sites and work flexible hours when required.

Previous project management experience is essential, as is completion of a relevant post-secondary education program and a PMP certification. Experience working with external customers would be an asset. Additional language skills, for example French and/or Arabic would also be highly advantageous, but not essential.
